Physical Ed & Science

My dad discovered a skull while we were out on a walk around the creek in our city last week. So we brought it home, cleaned it up, and went about trying to identify it.

Our first thought was a cat. A raccoon was another option. We weren’t sure, so I joined a bone identification group for North America.

The verdict: raccoon. My 10yo took my dad back to that area to look for more bones. He wanted to find the jaw but was unsuccessful. He did come back with what looked like leg bones. Yay for science and getting in some physical activity but……..ew.
